Money Matters training courses

Our Money Matters team is staffed by experienced practitioners in welfare rights. We provide free expert training to colleagues across public and voluntary sectors who work in public-facing advisory roles.

Our half-day training courses include:

  • Introduction to benefits
  • Assessment for chargeable services
  • Benefits for children and families
  • Benefits for carers and disabled children
  • Benefits for older people
  • Care leavers and benefits
  • Disability and employability benefits
  • Dealing with destitution / vulnerable people
  • Mental health and benefits
  • Universal Credit

Courses are open to public facing or advisory colleagues such as:

  • Community development workers
  • Customer advice staff
  • Health and social care staff
  • Housing staff
  • Volunteers

Training courses are free of charge.

Courses are advertised by email. Contact moneymatters@north-arshire.gcsx.gov.uk to be included in notifications about training opportunities. Places are allocated based on who we think would most benefit from attendance. Places are limited, if you have been offered a place and are unable to attend, please let us know so that we can offer the place to someone else.
